Gerwyn Price may have won 2-0 against Jermaine Wattimena in round one but it wasn’t a polished performance from the Welshman and he was grateful that his opponent failed to take his chances in the opening set. The Iceman only has one quarter-final appearance at this tournament on his record and yet again he just didn’t look at ease with the double format on Wednesday night. Standing in the way of Price and another quarter-final is Kim Huybrechts who came from behind to defeat Brendan Dolan in his first round game. The Belgian has struggled for form in recent years so that win will have given him a huge boost, but backing it up with a victory against Price is a tall-order - even though the number three seed may not be at his best. The intensity that both players bring to the oche should make this a very entertaining contest and hopefully the pair will rise to the challenge. Huybrechts is not playing with the consistency or belief these days to make one think an upset is on the cards and a 3-1 victory for Price is the betting tip.
