THE PREDICTION

Dirk van Duijvenbode has defied the odds to reach the quarter-finals at a PDC major tournament for the first time in his career courtesy of wins against Mensur Suljovic and Dimitri Van den Bergh, but this might be where his journey ends. The Dutchman may have given a much improved performance in round two against Van den Bergh, but he did have to rely on some mistakes at key moments from the Belgian and he might not get as many chances against Gary Anderson. The Flying Scotsman has certainly looked in the mood this week and progressed through the opening two rounds without dropping a set. Anderson raced out of the blocks with a strong first set against both Cross and Noppert, if he does so again in this match, then Van Duijvenbode will be left playing catch-up and another win in straight sets might well be on the cards.
