- Dave Parletti made his BDO World Championship debut at the 2019 tournament where he suffered a round one defeat at the hands of Poland’s Krzysztof Kciuk with an average of just under 84.
- Parletti has won a couple of titles in 2019 and earned a place in the 2019 Grand Slam of Darts through his BDO ranking; at the Grand Slam he lost to Gary Anderson and Darren Webster before rounding off his group stage campaign with a win against William O’Connor.
CHRIS LANDMAN
- Chris Landman is appearing at his third BDO World Championship and will be aiming to win a match for the first time at the tournament having lost 3-0 to Derk Telnekes on his debut in 2018 and 3-2 to Kyle McKinstry last time out.
- 2019 wasn’t a successful year for Landman on the oche with his best performances being semi-final appearances at the Slovak Masters and Belfry Open.
THE PREDICTION
Neither of these two players have won a match at the World Championship so something has to give. Parletti comes into the contest in better form than Landman and his experience at the Grand Slam will have benefitted him for sure. Parletti is capable of posting the highest average and reaching the second round.
