THE PREDICTION
Peter Wright has had to wait a long time for his second match at the 2020-21 PDC World Championship as the defending champion was last in action on the Alexandra Palace on the opening night of the tournament on Tuesday 15th December. Snakebite may have cruised to a comfortable 3-1 victory against Steve West on that night but it wasn’t a vintage performance from Wright as he averaged just 92.60 and he will surely have to raise his game by a few notches here. Germany’s Gabriel Clemens has proven himself as a very capable performer over the last couple of years, although he has not really made a big impact in the PDC major ranking tournaments he has the ability to put that right at some point in the near future. The German Giant is likely to have to wait a while longer to reach the latter stages of the PDC World Championship though as Wright is tipped to move through to the last 16 with a 4-2 victory.
