THE PREDICTION

Gerwyn Price may have made hard work of defeating fellow Welshman Jamie Lewis 3-2 in his opening match at the 2020-21 PDC World Championship but getting over the line was all that mattered and one would expect an improvement as he settles into the tournament. The number three seed is obviously heavily fancied to progress through to round four with a victory against Brendan Dolan, and would one expect him to take care of business against the Northern Irishman, but if Price is below par again here then Brendan Dolan does have the ability to capitalise. Even if Price does hit the ground running don’t rule out The History Maker’s chances of making this a competitive game.
