THE PREDICTION
Both of these players recovered from losing the opening set to win 3-1 in round two but the standard of their performances was very much different as Chisnall’s average was 17 points higher than that of Noppert. One would expect a big improvement from the Dutchman here though as he is unlikely to average just 80 for the second game in a row and Noppie will certainly take confidence from having earned three wins from three previous meetings against Chisnall – the most recent being a 10-9 victory at the World Series of Darts Finals in November 2019. Another very close contest cannot be ruled out here and the odds offered for the match to last over 5.5 sets look to be good value. Chisnall is favoured to progress but the aforementioned total sets wager is the preferred betting option.
