A tasty second-round contest is in store here between the quick-fire Jeffrey de Zwaan and the formidable Ryan Searle, who has enjoyed an excellent year tour and was one of the top first-round performers having averaged 98.31 against Danny Lauby on Thursday. De Zwaan – who reached the fourth round at Ally Pally last year – may be the seeded player here but Searle looks good value to progress as he is just that little but more consistent than the Dutchman. Searle hit four maximums in the first round and De Zwaan is famed for his power scoring so we could be in for a treat here, with over 9.5 180s looking like a tempting market to consider.
