Gary Anderson may not quite be the consistent force that he once was but the two-time PDC World Champion is still capable of being a major contender at this event and he should maintain his excellent record of progressing through his opening round match at Alexandra Palace with a victory against Madars Razma. This is not to discount the ability of the Latvian player as he has been competitive on the PDC circuit since he switched from the BDO but Anderson rightfully places a lot of importance on this event and if The Flying Scotsman turns up in the mood to play then he is likely to be too strong for Razma.
