THE PREDICTION
Edward Foulkes was very much an unknown player heading into this tournament but he surprised many with a very assured performance in his 3-0 win against Mike De Decker in round one as he recorded an average of 90.97 on his big stage debut. It is hard to predict if the Japanese qualifier will be able to repeat that level of play in two consecutive matches though and he might well have to play even better if he is to have a chance of defeating an experienced campaigner such as Brendan Dolan. The Northern Irishman may not have a great record at Ally Pally but his defeats have come against established players and he should have the quality and knowhow to pass this test.
