THE PREDICTION
Adrian Lewis has obvious pedigree as a previous two-time winner of this tournament but Jackpot’s last quarter-final appearance here was five years ago and he is struggling to recapture the form which saw him claim back-to-back world titles. If Lewis is to roll back the years and have a good run here this time out, then he must first overcome a tricky second round tie against Danny Baggish who defeated Damon Heta in the previous round. The American qualifier was not phased when he met Nathan Aspinall at this stage of the tournament 12 months ago as he was only edged out in four well-contested sets against the eventual semi-finalist and he has the capabilities to make this a difficult game for the former champ. Lewis may eventually see off the challenge of his awkward opponent but it won’t be easy and there could be value in opting for over 3.5 sets if you are having a wager.
