THE PREDICTION
Two-time PDC World Championship winner Gary Anderson certainly has the edge in terms of experience between these two players as he has reached the quarter-finals at Ally Pally for the eighth time, while Dirk van Duijvenbode is through to the last eight for the first time in his career. How much this counts for remains to be seen of course, as past experience on this stage will not guarantee The Flying Scotsman victory against a very dangerous opponent who is certainly not going to be phased by the challenge ahead of him. It is worth noting that the Dutchman defeated Anderson on his way to reaching the final of the World Grand Prix in October and a repeat win is not improbable such is the form that Van Duijvenbode is in. Anderson looks to be in the mood to rise to the challenge so we should hopefully see an entertaining and explosive encounter which is laden with high scores and big checkouts. Over 7.5 sets and over 16.5 180s both look to be appealing options from a betting perspective.
