Steve West and Amit Gilitwala face off in the opening match of the 2020-21 PDC World Darts Championship with the winner set to face the defending champion Peter Wright later on in the evening. West starts as the obvious big favourite to win this game and it’s very hard to disagree as he has plenty of experience at this level whereas India’s Gilitwala is making his World Championship debut. This is a huge step up in quality from the standard which Gilitwala usually competes at and it would be an achievement for the debutant to even win a set, but that seems unlikely to happen and a win for West in straight sets is the betting tip.
