Max Hopp was the number 24 seed at the 2019-20 PDC World Championship but he is now striving to make it back into the top 32 after a disappointing slide down the rankings. The German star has a tricky looking tie in round one against Australia’s Gordon Mathers who qualified via the DPA Order of Merit but it would be a surprise if he slipped up and exited the tournament. Hopp successfully won his first match on each of his last three visits to Alexandra Palace and he is tipped to progress here too.
