Former World Championship semi-finalist Jamie Lewis has endured a tough time on the oche recently which resulted in him taking time away from competitive darts in the autumn but the Welshman returned to action in December and he claimed his place at Alexandra Palace via the PDC Tour Card Holder Qualifiers. Lewis will surely have regained some confidence after winning his spot in this tournament and he will need to be sharp from the off here against Luke Woodhouse who reached the third round on his World Championship debut 12 months ago. A win against Michael Smith during that run to the last 32 showed what Woodhouse is capable of and he will be targeting another good showing on his return to Ally Pally. Woodhouse came out on top in the only previous meeting between these two players and he is tipped to repeat the feat in what should be a contest of good quality.
