VINCENT VAN DER VOORT
- Vincent van der Voort is amongst the most experienced players in the field and the Dutchman is making his 19th consecutive World Championship appearance having made his BDO World Championship debut in 2002.
- He is a three-time World Championship quarter-finalist with one appearance during his time in the BDO and two in the PDC – most recently at the 2014/15 tournament.
- Previously a top 16 player, Van der Voort has slipped out of the top 32. A big part of his loss of form came from injury problems but he has now shown signs of a revival and reached his first major ranking quarter-final in four years at the European Championship in October.
KEANE BARRY
- Irish teenager Keane Barry is making his PDC World Championship debut courtesy of winning the 2019 Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay final in October where he defeated Liam Gallagher in dramatic fashion by coming from 5-2 down to win 6-5.
- During the PDC World Championship, Barry will also be competing in the JDC Junior World Championship final at Alexandra Palace where he will meet recent PDC World Youth runner-up Adam Gawlas from the Czech Republic.
- His success in youth tournaments in 2019 have also seen him win the BDO World Youth Masters and reach the final of the 2020 BDO World Youth Championships final.

This is an intriguing clash between youth and experience as Keane Barry was not even born when Vincent van der Voort made his World Championship debut.
