- Krzysztof Ratajski is making his third appearance at the PDC World Championship and is still looking for his first win on the stage at Alexandra Palace having lost his opening match in each the last two editions of the tournament.
- The Polish Eagle comes to the 2019-20 PDC World Championship in the best form of his career, he has enjoyed a meteoric rise up the rankings in 2019 with three tournament wins under his belt this season, including one on the Euro Tour.
- Ratajski won the 2017 World Masters on the BDO circuit but has yet to have a good run in a major PDC televised ranking tournament.
ZORAN LERCHBACHER
- Zoran Lerchbacher reached round two by defeating Jamie Hughes in a tense round one encounter that went all the way into the final leg in the deciding set.
- Lerchbacher recorded his highest ever World Championship match average of 94.22 in his win against Hughes and his total of five 180s was also a tournament high for the Austrian.
- His last appearance in the last 64 of the PDC World Championship two years ago saw him upset the odds when he defeated Mervyn King 3-2.

THE PREDICTION
Ratajski is a very accomplished and consistent performer these days and it seems only a matter of time before he has a good run in a PDC major tournament. His quest for a first win on the Ally Pally stage is not an easy one against the experienced Lerchbacher but the Polish star is capable of stepping up to a higher level than his opponent and he is tipped to edge through in a last-set decider.
