Two teams on the up having each won their last two games collide at Headingley. Both boast a particular key player within their respective batting orders in Dawid Malan (Yorkshire Vikings) and Wayne Madsen (Derbyshire Falcons). How those two players perform here will be key to the overall outcome. Expect another high-scoring affair at Headingley, but after two statement victories and Trent Bridge and in the Roses fixture, it’s hard to shake off the fact that Yorkshire Vikings are right back on the up and although Derbyshire will push them hard, the hosts may just do enough to edge this one.

DURHAM vs LEICESTERSHIRE FOXES
THE PREDICTION
It’s hard to see where Leicestershire Foxes’ first win of the tournament is going to come from as it stands. Their batting looks comfortably the weakest in the North Group and has been ruthlessly exposed by their opponents. Confidence is clearly extremely low following five consecutive defeats and Durham will be buoyed after getting back to winning ways last time out against Lancashire Lightning. The hosts have established themselves as real force in the T20 Blast this season, winning three of their opening four matches and are well worth backing to make four wins from five here.

WORCESTERSHIRE RAPIDS vs NORTHAMPTONSHIRE STEELBACKS
THE PREDICTION
Chris Lynn finally came to the party in this year’s T20 Blast this past Friday and in some style, smashing an unbeaten century to lead Northamptonshire Steelbacks to a vital win over Leicestershire Foxes. An in-form Worcestershire Rapids at New Road however, pose a far tougher challenge. The cohesion of this Rapids side has been a joy to behold and they seem to have all bases covered in terms of batting and bowling. What they lack in individual superstars, they make up for in superb teamplay and tactical nous. With the momentum they have gathered, it’s hard not to see the Rapids coming out on top against the Steelbacks.

NOTTS OUTLAWS vs LANCASHIRE LIGHTNING
THE PREDICTION
Once again, Notts Outlaws bounced back from defeat with victory in their following game, beating Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston. Less than 24 hours later, they host Lancashire Lightning, who after an excellent start to the tournament have since lost three games on the bounce. Having altered their team to accommodate returning IPL superstars, this has adversely affected the Lightning as an overall unit, disrupting what was a high-performing batting order. Something doesn’t feel right in the camp at the moment and questions are being asked about Liam Livingstone as a captain. Consider backing Notts Outlaws to extend Lancashire’s recent misery and pick up a crucial home win after losing their last two at Trent Bridge.
