- Adelaide Strikers now find themselves at the foot of the Big Bash League ladder thanks to Melbourne Renegades’ win over Melbourne Stars in their most recent contest and the Strikers may find it tough to avoid the wooden spoon from this point on.
- They have won just one of their eight games in this year’s competition after suffering a sixth straight loss last time out in their clash with Sydney Thunder and having fallen to opponents Hobart Hurricanes in three of their past four games, they have it all to do to stop the rot.
HOBART HURRICANES
- Hobart Hurricanes were unable to make it four successive wins in the BBL as they produced an underwhelming display to go down to Brisbane Heat and they will be desperate to respond here as they aim to remain in touch with the top two.
- The Hurricanes boast the best batsman and bowler in the tournament at the time of writing in the shape of Ben McDermott and Tom Rogers but the former’s duck played a role in his side struggling with the bat against the Heat and he will be eager to put some runs on the board in this one.
