THE LOWDOWN
Joshua Franco (17-1-2) was perhaps fortunate that his second bout with Andrew Moloney was cut short with the American struggling to deal with his opponent in the early stages. After a convincing performance in their first bout, which Franco won by unanimous decision, the 25-year-old will hope he can draw on that experience to improve on his impressive record.
Andrew Moloney (21-1) also boasts a striking record with just one defeat to his name in his career so far which came against opponent Franco. He got his jab working to good effect in their second meeting and with a superior KO percentage than his opponent, the Australian is likely to rely on that power to get the job done in this third clash between the two.
THE PREDICTION
Joshua Franco and Andrew Moloney will meet for the third time and there is a big score to settle for Moloney. He lost the pair’s first fight before dominating the early exchanges of the second until it was controversially ruled a no-decision because of swelling under Franco’s right eye supposedly caused by a headbutt. That left a bitter taste in the Australian’s mouth but with the bit between his teeth and the knowledge of how to get on top of Franco from that short fight the second time around, Moloney can gain revenge for his the one and only loss of his career to date.
