THE LOWDOWN

Felix Cash is making his first competitive appearance in the ring since he successfully defended his Commonwealth middleweight title for the first time against English champion Jack Cullen in November last year. He comes into this fight with an unblemished professional record of 12 wins from his 12 previous pro bouts - eight of those victories have been via KO/TKO.

Former British middleweight champion Jason Welborn has a wealth of experience having made his pro debut all the way back in 2005. The 34-year-old comes into this fight having lost his last two bouts - both against unbeaten fighters - with his world title fight defeat against Jarrett Hurd followed by an eighth-round stoppage against James Metcalf in June 2019.

THE PREDICTION

Commonwealth middleweight title-holder Felix Cash faces a tricky and experienced opponent as he makes the second defence of the title he claimed in impressive fashion with a first round win against Rasheed Abolaji in February 2019. Welborn will certainly hold his own in the first half of the fight, but the younger man’s extra sharpness and power is likely to come to the fore thereafter and Cash is tipped to stop Welham in the ninth round.

Prediction: Cash via KO/TKO
