- The Astros are coming off a no-hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays and after winning two of three games against the Canadian franchise they own a 3-2 mark in their last five games. They are also 8-2 in their last 10 outings, confirming their place as one of the top teams in the American League.
- Yuli Gurriel is day-to-day with an elbow issue and should be considered as questionable ahead of this game, but Aaron Sanchez and Carlos Correa are not expected to return until next week at the earliest. George Springer has been playing well for the Astros of late, going 7-for-19 with two home runs and nine RBI in Houston’s last five games.
- 2019 AL Cy Young candidate Gerrit Cole will take the mound for the Astros, and he is enjoying a stellar season after a 14-strikeout effort against the Tampa Bay Rays last week. MILWAUKEE BREWERS
